All Bookies Wear Speedos garnered the Best Short Audience Award and Directorial Debut Award–Best New York Filmaker at this year's New York International Independent Film & Video Festival.
Making its NY premier at the NY International Independent Film and Video Festival on November 17th is the dark comedy All Bookies Wear Speedos, with Frank Palmer as an inveterate gambler who welches on his loses and comes into conflict with wild-eyed bookies in speedos, and other bizarre characters, while NY talkshow icons Joe Franklin and Danny Darrow call his beat-down while sitting "ringside". Also starring Paul Cicero. Scott Healy, of The Max Weinberg 7 did the music. This movie has a great NYC feel to it.
